These are two separate groups of marañon japoneses; both groups were laying in in the middle vertical basket:
The left ones are OK .The right ones are rotten.
It all started by a weakness, some of them fell from the tree, the impact opened a wound that the flies and fruit insects took advantage of for harvesting larvae.
What is interesting is that, after 2 days of being covered with a blanket in the vertical basket, the fruit flies were gathering outside of the blanket, as if they were waiting for a banquet. Uncovering the blanket revealed the undesirable truth: more than half the fruits were rotting.
What I noticed was that most of them were initially healthy, but among so many filthy and putrefied companions, they too became rotten, at least rotten enough to become unsaveable.
I discovered, nonetheless, a "Marañon Japonés" that was surrounded by putrefied marañones, but was not affected by them:
One of the strong and lucky to remain immaculate
I also discovered a cute "Majoncho" that was significantly smaller than normal one:
The small majoncho was so cute I had to eat it:
The morale of the story is. No matter how corrupt or filthy the environment or the people around:
Stay true to yourself. Don't believe the bullshit around, or it might get into you. Flee from rotten environments and people. Learn from respectable adults.
